This simple, sturdy tripod launch pad from Quest Aerospace is excellent for our most popular kits, including the Super Six, Polaris, Tomahawk, Quark Star and Pioneer. The launch pad supports the rocket for the first few feet of flight, until it builds up enough speed to be stabilized by its fins.

Large Ejection Canisters are about half again as big as the standard SEC-5a Ejection Canisters. They hold about 2.5 grams of black powder (not included). They are suitable for rockets of 4 to 5.5 inches in diameter. Each Canister has the resistance written on the side, so you can test it before use.

The radio beacon is an FM transmitter that converts an ASCII data stream into an AX.25 packet. The transmitter can operate at 1200 baud AFSK and 9600 FSK. Power output level can be controlled from 0 watts to 1 watt. The beacon operates in the UHF band from a single 5 volt
supply. A version operating in the VHF band is also available.
