Compact Ejection Canisters are intended for smaller rockets that don't need as much propellant as our SEC-5 Standard canisters, or are smaller in diameter. Instead of a snap cap like the SEC-5, CECs use a foam plug. Capacity is 9/10 gram of FFFG black powder.

Like all our Ejection Canisters, CECs use filaments that are continually tested as the products are made. The resistance of the filament is written on the CEC. Test it with a multimeter before use to verify that the filament is undamaged. Any Canister that does not test within 5 ohms of the noted value will be replaced at no charge. Our ignition filaments do not require any special licenses or storage since they have no chemical pyrogen.
